Hannah Turner is currently a student at the University of Idaho, working toward two Bachelor of Science degrees in Dance and Pre-Physical Therapy. She dances to find release, expression, learn more about herself, and find community with others. She began developing her love for dance in her home state of Hawaii, where she trained at her home studio, Rosalie Woodson Dance Academy. Having trained in tap, ballet, contemporary modern, jazz, and dabbled in other genres of the vast art form, Hannah has personal experience in knowing all sectors of dance can be so beneficial to the human spirit. She has an excitement for rhythm and movement – how it is able to reach all kinds of people and enliven her own self. Her fervent love for dance has compelled her to find ways to reach people through the power that dance has to bring community together. She has found her way to fulfill her desire of being in community through dance by teaching to various age ranges and populations. She is passionate about and committed to blending her education of physical therapy and dance to create holistic and integrated approaches to movement, in a way that is suitable and accessible for everyone. Hannah is furthering her knowledge of the content taught in this workshop through her schooling, and has taught related content the past 3 years. She has found such growth and community through the world of theatre, which is part of what fuels her to impact others.
