Our Mission:
To promote arts in the community of Troy through awareness, appreciation, education and support, creating a connection between artists and audiences to enrich the quality of life for all.
Our Organization:
Established in 2014, The Troy Arts Council operates under the City of Troy, Idaho as a non-profit organization designed to serve the community. It is led by a volunteer advisory board comprised of community members and interested candidates, who function to achieve the following:
- Develop opportunities to advance the arts in fulfillment of TAC's mission
- Secure funding to support arts opportunity in fulfillment of TAC's mission
- Oversee all activities it sponsors to ensure they align with TAC's mission
- Uphold the organization's values and principles to maintain accountability to the City of Troy and the community it serves.
Supporting Art and Artists:
Though best known for its production of the annual summer musical through its offshoot entity Troy Community Theatre, Troy Arts Council's mission supports the advancement of all art and artists. Historically is has offered a community band, and hosted art walks. The Troy Arts Council encourages community members to partner with the Troy Arts Council to advance all artistic expression and development, including music and visual arts.
Performing Arts:
The Troy Arts Council established the Troy Community Theatre to fulfill its mission in the area of performance arts, and as such, TAC serves as the parent organization of TCT, responsible for all fundraising, promotion, and management of TCT activities.
