Troy Arts Council Scholarship

The Troy Arts Council is offering up to two $1,000 non-renewable merit-based scholarships to the four-year college or university of the student’s choice. Monies will be sent directly to the university as soon as the student provides the council with proof of enrollment and their student ID. This scholarship is for all qualifying high school seniors pursuing any career (does not need to be an arts career).

Emelia Powell

Emelia has been dancing for 13 years and she can't imagine life without it! She enjoys any and all styles she can get her hands on. She joined Troy community theater in 2019 in the Wizard of Oz and loved it so much she came back the next year for You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and then for Newsies, Music Man, Something's Afoot, Cinderella, and most recently Oklahoma. She has also been a part of APOD Productions Jane Eyre and Highschool Musical the Musical. She can't wait to add Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat to her collection! She is a proud student of Festival Dance Academy and is looking forward to continuing her education at the University of Idaho! She also teaches Festival Dance's outreach ballet classes in Troy!

joshua Ketcheson

Joshua is a recently graduated senior from Genesee High School who has been involved in two Troy Community Theatre shows. He played Jean Mitchell in a Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and Will Parker in a Rogers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma. He has enjoyed working with the people, and is currently cast as Simeon for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Some of his hobbies include camping with family, biking, running, traveling, and hanging out with friends. He will be serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Day Saints before attending college at BYU.
